The Azienda Agricola Fattoria di San Pancrazio can trace its origins back to 1388 and is set in the gentle hills of Chianti, a few kilometers from Florence in the Comune of San Casciano in Val di Pesa.In that period the property already comprised an elegant villa, terrain cultivated with vines and olives and several farmhouses, all owned by the rich Gianfigliazzi family. In 1978 the entire complex was bought by the Nannoni-Masti family.
The important turning point in the managing of the property came in 2000 when Valentina Masti and her husband, Simone Priami decided to move to San Pancrazio and personally run the Fattoria. Their passion and love of the land and the property is the base of an important project of revaluation and development of the family estate: The Villa has been splendidly restored and the vines renewed.
Today, around 23 hectars of vineyard set in Chianti D.O.C.G. territory is already productive, as well as two vineyards in the adjacent Chianti Classico terrain. The estate also has an olive grove of 1000 plants and produces a marvellous extra-virgin oil. An excellent Vinsanto, aged for 5 years, is also produced. The cellar has been refurbished with the best of modern technology and the work force radically re-organised with the collaboration of the Oenologist, Dr Fabrizio Moltard.
